Nice truck. The video would be better if we could hear that v8 instead of the music.
Beautiful example of a bicentennial Mack. Was the name of this one?
Flash rig.
That is way too cool. I'm not even going to swear!
I WANT ONE OF THEM LEGENDS...
Show interior
Memories of Paul Constantino's Bicentenary Superliners "bagging" us up on the Hume Highway many years ago now ~ but with a little more "pace on" ~ Running with the Overnighters ~ Wards, Kwikasair, Comet, Ipec etc ~ oh how times have changed ~ Days when you could Overnight Melbourne - Brisbane without any problems what so ever !!! These Bicentenary Superliners were some of the Best trucks that Mack Australia has ever produced, hands down !!!
Must have doing close to 200 ks per hour at times to go Bris- Melbourne overnight.
Great
Nice shots Froggmann
Bloody heck I never knew that was hiding in there. Most people don't even see the wave machine either. Nice outfit anyway
I want hear that v8
Nice filming of a great truck. Yeppoon Road Qld ? Where is Captain Starlight ?
I had a poster of the bicentennial trucks on my wall. Been a truck mechanic in England for 20 years now. Would love nothing more than to jam some gears on this rig
Released on my birthday in 88 at dreamworld I was 11......coming from a strong trucking family from that day all I ever wanted was a bicentennial......at 42 now nothing has changed......the best truck on the road in my book........was lucky enough when I was 16 to do a melb ..syd..return in costantinos Ben hall......big high light of my younger years.....I got lots of litriture and pics of them including a rare booklet on them that u got when u signed up for one........
Glen Hennessy Gday glen I think someone should start a bicentennial superliner register to find out where they all are now and who owns them
I owened a . CL with a 575 v8. Tractor unit. It used to set car alarms off as you idled past them .but the 900 rpm with a load on . Funny as . . Loved it.
Fucking shit video roach shit music playing instead of the e9 v8. Absolute disgrace
A produce shop here in Armidale had one of these bicentennial Superliners pulling a tipper. Can't remember the name of it but I sure remember the sound of it. Holy shit that thing cracked!
Fan noise... :( drowns the engine noise...
i remember bringing a couple of them bicentenary superliners down from the factory at wacol to melbourne back in 88, on the back of an R model with 8 pallets of general up the front. i backed it on as that was the only way it would fit and i remember it overhanging the back by about a metre, with the steer sitting right on the rear combing. one of them coming down, i noticed coming into west wyalong that it seemed to be over on the left a bit much so had to pull into the shell their and let the chains all off and start her up so i could reposition it. then i rechained it. The newell was a goat track back then and there was no air bags about at that time. and of course we all drove differently back then as well. most glamorous loads i ever carted i'd say. they attracted a lot of attention coming down back then i can tell you.
Hi The Froggman, thanks for the video, fantastic rig Regards Shaun 👍 ☺
Beauty!
what a tidy super liner a credit to you m8 cheers muzzo nz.
They only wobble when someone with no idea attempts to secure them. LOVE the spiders & chromies!!
Where's the front oversize sign ...
Is it oversize?
Another Mack beauty. Which part of Australia is Cleveland in?
A beauty!
That V8 Superdog sounds pretty good, I love that C model on the flatbed.
@sickasful i dont fink they sound the same. u lisn to them both at peek revs the mack sounds way more crisp then the scania well thats what i recon
no not a Scania motor thay sound the same cause thay share the same firing order mack built there own motors that has all changed as thay don't make there own motors any more the old mack motors are so reliable not like a bloody Scania motor any way so that should be a dead give away that there not the same motor great video champ
Great Video thanks for Sharing mate
@shaned8845 i knew it :D no way would they be scania engines
@vanessajeanjohnson Not a scania motor. They have the same firing order, that's why they sound the same
gota be a scania motor ???
Very well finished superliner mate, gotta love the V8 muscle!!
